EEF 2019

European Economic Forum – Lodzkie 2019

16th- 17th September 2019

During the two-day event, 32 panel discussions were organised with the participation of over 200 speakers from Poland and abroad – scientists, representatives of government and local authorities, entrepreneurs, or specialists from business environment institutions. Special guests actively participated in the discussion. In addition, a ceremonial opening session was organised, during which a letter of intent for the construction of the 5G network was signed.

The thematic blocks focused on the most important areas of the economy for the Lodzkie Region.

Agriculture and agri-food processing as well as logistics and transport were discussed. A lot of attention was paid to methods of business management, as well as new technologies and research work. The Region’s development strategy was also debated.

As every year, the Forum provided a platform for the exchange of experience between representatives of business, science, and local authorities. Representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises had an excellent opportunity to share their thoughts and search for new areas of development, while delegates from leading international companies showed how to build strong brands on the global stage based on local opportunities.

All participants had the opportunity to listen to lectures by well-known Polish and foreign experts, take part in industry thematic panels and establish new business contacts. The Forum was held in the open discussion format, encouraging others to join in and express their opinions and insights.

The culmination of the first day of the event was the Gala of the Economic Award of the Lodzkie Region “Business PLUS,” with the participation of the special guest, the Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki. The award is a distinction and special thanks to entities that consistently build a positive image of the Lodzkie Region, achieve the best economic results, implement innovative projects, recognized both in the very Region, Poland and abroad, and which spectacularly contribute to the economic development of the Lodzkie Region. The evening was graced with a performance by Monika Kuszyńska, while Teresa Kopias, a designer from Łask near Lodz, presented her collections of ball gowns.
