EEF 2020
European Economic Forum – Lodzkie 2020
2nd- 4th December 2020
The 13th edition of the European Economic Forum, due to the epidemiological situation in the country, was held in an online format.
The three-day programme of the event consisted of sixteen panel sessions with the participation of over 100 speakers and special guests.
During the Forum, entrepreneurs, experts, local government officials and government representatives discussed the post-pandemic labour market, innovations in logistics and the role of intermediary institutions in the fight against Covid-19. The topics of the 13th European Economic Forum – Lodzkie 2020 also included: business 4.0, infrastructure investments, franchising, eco-design, organising webinars, innovations in logistics, development of 5G networks, vocational education, social economy, Green HRM practices or VUCA management.
The third day was devoted entirely to innovation, with the organisation of the Lodz Innovation Days. On this day, both experienced companies using innovation in their daily operations and start-ups just entering the market shared their practices. During the pitching session, nine young companies presented themselves and competed for the statuette of the first edition of the Forge of Ideas.
A very important point of the Forum was the annually organised Gala of the Economic Award of the Lodzkie Province “Business PLUS.” During the evening ceremony, the winners of six competition categories were announced, as well as the winner of the “Business PLUS” statuette, awarded by the Board of the Lodzkie Region for overall achievement.
The thirteenth edition of the European Economic Forum – as expected – was an arena for the exchange of experience, the presentation of innovations and a space for establishing new contacts and gaining potential customers. The organisers brought together distinguished experts and management practitioners, thanks to whom the programme of the Forum made it possible to take a look at the challenges of the contemporary economy from a variety of perspectives that set the desired directions for the development of the region and the companies that make up its economic environment.
