CAPITAL MARKET AND LOCAL BUSINESSES: DIALOGUE ON FINANCING AND DEVELOPMENT
In most developed countries, the capital market constitutes the foundation for the development of enterprises, including small and medium-sized companies. The possibility of acquiring funds by issuing shares or bonds represents a chance for both companies and citizens (“civic shareholding”). Apart from capital, financial institutions can also contribute know-how and knowledge to local enterprises. The panel is aimed at discussing the impact of the capital market on the functioning of SMEs in the Lodzkie Region, both in terms of public issues of shares and bonds, and the operation of joint venture funds or “business angels”.
