Lodzkie – the Garden of Poland

“Lodzkie Region – the Garden of Poland” is a project initiated by Grzegorz Schreiber, the Marshal of the Lodzkie Region; in the framework of this project, many activities are undertaken to support nature and thus improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of our region.

The activities include:

• increasing the area of green areas while preserving natural biodiversity;
• financial support for local government units and family allotment gardens;
• education of the region’s inhabitants;
• shaping pro-climate attitudes.

The aim of the panel “Lodzkie – the Garden of Poland” is to show that supporting nature is an extremely important element in counteracting climate change and to make the inhabitants aware of the importance of the nature around us. During the discussion with the invited guests, we will look for solutions that can contribute to transforming public spaces into green enclaves and we will try to develop good practices in supporting biodiversity.
